1. Smoke Detectors

Photoelectric smoke detectors are more effective at detecting smoldering fires, which produce larger, slower – moving smoke particles.
In our container houses, we strategically place smoke detectors on the ceilings of each room. This is because smoke rises, and having the detectors on the ceiling allows them to quickly sense the presence of smoke. Interconnected smoke detectors are also installed so that if one detector is triggered, all the detectors in the house will sound an alarm, ensuring that everyone inside is alerted to the potential fire.
2. Fire Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers are essential tools for quickly suppressing small fires before they spread. In our 30ft expandable container houses, we provide portable fire extinguishers, typically of the ABC type.
ABC fire extinguishers are multi – purpose and can be used on Class A (ordinary combustibles like wood, paper, and fabrics), Class B (flammable liquids such as gasoline, oil, and grease), and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. These extinguishers work by smothering the fire, removing heat, and interrupting the chemical reaction that sustains the fire.

Regular maintenance and inspections are also carried out to ensure that the extinguishers are in proper working condition, with the pressure gauge indicating the correct pressure and no signs of damage or leakage.
3. Sprinkler Systems
Some of our high – end 30ft expandable container houses are equipped with sprinkler systems for enhanced fire protection. These systems are designed to automatically suppress a fire by discharging water.
Sprinkler systems in our container houses are typically wet – pipe systems. In a wet – pipe system, the pipes are always filled with water. Each sprinkler head has a heat – sensitive element, usually a glass bulb filled with a liquid that expands when heated.
When a fire breaks out and the temperature rises to a certain level (around 135 – 165°F or 57 – 74°C, depending on the type of sprinkler), the liquid in the glass bulb expands and shatters the bulb. This releases the water from the pipe through the sprinkler head, which then sprays water over the area below the sprinkler.
The sprinkler heads are strategically placed throughout the container house, covering areas where fires are more likely to occur, such as the kitchen and living areas. The water from the sprinklers cools the burning materials, reduces the heat of the fire, and can help prevent the spread of the fire to other parts of the house.
4. Fire – Rated Walls and Insulation
The construction of the container house itself also plays a crucial role in fire safety. Our 30ft expandable container houses feature fire – rated walls and insulation materials.
Fire – rated walls are designed to resist the spread of fire for a certain period. They are constructed using materials such as fire – resistant drywall and steel frames.
