NALP's support for the Project EverGreen program extends to its 2,800 member companies.

Cleveland-The National Association of Landscape Professionals has approved the EverGreen Project's Nationally Recognized Force Green Care Program.

GreenCare for Troops is managed by the 501c3 non-profit organization Project EverGreen. It celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2021 and provides free basic lawn care and landscape maintenance services for military personnel with deployed family members.

NALP's accreditation extends the program to its 2,800 member companies, representing 200,000 landscape and lawn care professionals. It has opened the door to more volunteers, providing services to military families and bringing them healthy lawns and landscapes when they need them.

Since the start of the project, more than 7,500 lawn and landscape professionals across the country have provided relevant services such as mowing, shrub trimming, fertilization, weed control, and fire ant services to the families of conscripts. To date, the value of donated services has exceeded 10 million U.S. dollars.

NALP CEO Britt Wood said: "Our industry has a long history of volunteering and EverGreen projects, and GreenCare for Troops is an excellent example of landscape and lawn care professionals making important contributions to their communities-one at a time Property... "The attention to military families is a great compliment to the volunteer project we do during the annual renewal and memorial period of Arlington National Cemetery. "

GCFT volunteers provide more than just lawn care and landscape maintenance: they provide peace of mind during stressful times; a safe place for children to play and family contact; and a cool backyard to escape the heat.

"GCFT is a perfect community service plan for the lawn and landscape industry, and the entire industry can support it," said Cindy Code, executive director of the EverGreen project. "The GCFT program represents all the benefits that the professional lawn and landscape industry provides to its communities."

Landscape and lawn care professionals can register as volunteers or designated families to receive services by visiting the Evergreen Program website or calling 888/611-2955. In addition, GCFT's sister program "Snow Care for Troops" provides free snow removal services for eligible military families in winter.

When volunteers sign up for one or two projects, they can choose the number of families they are willing to help, how far they will travel to perform services and specify which services they will provide.
