Missouri State's governing body is expected to approve a plan Wednesday to complete the interior work needed for two tenants in the newly expanded Roy Blunt Jordan Valley Innovation Center.

The executive committee of the university's Board of Governors will be asked to allocate $1.83 million to complete infill on the first floor for the Missouri Cybersecurity Center of Excellence and the second floor for Brewer Science.

Three construction bids were considered and the lowest was from DeWitt & Associates Inc.

The overall cost of the project is $2.67 million — including consulting fees, contingency and telecommunications work — which will be paid by rental fees from the two JVIC tenants, university funds and private donations.

If approved, crews will complete the first-floor infill for the Missouri Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, which is roughly 2,000 square feet.

The space will include a breakout area, office, control platform, operations floor and the needed support spaces.

The new second-floor area for Brewer Science, part of JVIC for years, includes 10,000 square feet of new space plus an additional area of 3,000 square feet of existing space that will be reconfigured.

The work will include a conference room, offices, flex offices, personal health room, open office workstations, break area, lab, clean room, and support spaces.

The work is scheduled to be done by the fall 2023 semester.

At the Wednesday meeting, the MSU board is also expected to vote on two projects on the MSU-West Plains campus. They include:
