I hope everyone will take the time to attend the dedication ceremony for ‘Veterans Island” at Memorial Park on Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. There will be a “fly-over” by vintage aircraft as well as many veterans and guest speakers It’s a great way to show support for those men and women who have sacrificed so much for our great country. Besides, Rufus and I will be there to say hello to everyone!

Rich Democrat residents of Martha’s Vineyard like Max Lefeld said this about illegal immigrants being bused or flown across the USA: “It’s like me taking my trash out and just driving to different areas where I live and just throwing my trash there.” That is what Democrats think of people who don’t look like them or don’t have millions of dollars in their bank accounts.

In November of 2021, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris sent 70 secret night flights full of illegal migrants from the Texas border to Florida without consulting with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Neither the Democrats nor the media gave it a second thought. So please spare us all the faux outrage of illegals being shipped to democrat sanctuary cities. Democracy is a threat to the Democrat Party.

Responding to “No Carpetbaggers Please” — Fetterman is recovering from a stroke that doesn’t mean Fetterman will recover! It’s true that the Senate and House members do not work a full year, government is nothing new. That has nothing to do with serving on committees! Each member usually has about five minutes to ask questions and respond to a witness! If Fetterman can’t debate Oz how can Fetterman serve on a committee? Fetterman is unfit for the U.S. it’s not a game!

Can anyone explain to me why every news station whether local or cable spews out the same information every day? Do they receive 4 AM talking points from the Deep State/CIA? Nothing is ever positive because they want us all either living in fear or fighting each other. Wake up, everyone!

After reading an article about Latino voters I think it is time to check some truth about the Democrats. The Democrats keep on pushing White supremacists as Republicans. Biden and the Democrats continue to attack all Republicans as racist which is far from the truth as Latinos have had Republican support over many years and continue to follow Republican (Latino) efforts for growth in the party.

Anti-vaxxer you just made my point. If a bridge falls, yes call an engineer who is an expert in that area. Who would you call, the cashier from Walmart? I’m sure he would fix the problem. And for every website that says the vaccine is harmful, there is one that says it’s safe. It’s your choice to believe what you want, but you only see one side because of your opinion.

Here we go again folks … another Covid booster shot to enrichen the pharmaceutical companies! In the Sept. 17th front-page article, Another Shot, collaborator Dr. Debra Powell noted “the booster will help people from getting severely ill or dying from Covid”. Based upon the mountains of evidence that continue to surface around the world, it seems to me you have a much greater chance of “getting severely ill or dying” if you do get the vaccine!

The FDA has initiated an investigation of Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsome’s hair gel after Newsome urged Biden’s DOJ to investigate Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott for kidnapping illegal immigrants and sending them to Martha’s Vineyard on private jets. The hair gel brand has not been revealed. Ron DeSantis suggested that Newsome’s brain function has been affected by his hair gel. DeSantis has a good point.

Whatever happened to the Republican Party “backing the blue?” Trump fired FBI Director Comey because he declined to pledge personal loyalty to him. Then Trump fired A.G. Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation. Then Trump fires A.G. Barr after he dismissed claims of election fraud. Stop supporting the “Rule of Trump” especially when he is proven wrong. Have some morals and ethics. Be a true Republican.

The Martha’s Vineyard situation proves that Massachusetts-type liberals can never be trusted. Instead of recoiling in horror and annoyance from planeloads of asylum-seekers — as we know they wanted to do — they pretended to show compassion by providing their unexpected guests with food, lodging and other services. They only did that to embarrass the governor of Florida. Total hypocrites!

Why is there nothing on the news regarding the 62.5% COLA (cost of living allowance) reduction for our military? This is an outrage. We can spend millions on illegals and billions on Ukraine but this administration is cutting the housing allowance and advising our military to apply for Food Stamps. Please vote these fools out of office.

Radical Republicans hate women to maintain their rights. Mastriano would outlaw all abortions in Pa. and supports sending women & their doctors to prison. He also wants to cut state funding on public schools by 50% — forcing huge increases in local school property taxes. Vote blue to save Pa!

I don’t know how to take this but talking with one of the neighbors. I can not understand a Democrat that sees nothing wrong with what is going on in this country. Inflation is out of control but they say 8.3% is better than 2.2%. Illegal border crossing is not a problem until illegals are sent to their sanctuary cities. What is wrong with these people? Investments lose money every day all due to Government spending to buy votes. Where and when will it stop?

They want to stop the killing of babies, they want pornography books removed from schools, they want to make sure fictional Critical Race Theory doesn’t replace US history, they want to reinstate moral and effective immigration laws, and preserve the sanctity of marriage. Good luck arguing against that Jay Miller!

Inarguably, a politician’s best friend is the passage of time. Pa. was ranked 42nd in pandemic response. Yet, Shapiro & Fetterman lead in polls. They shuttered schools & businesses while giving “protestors” license to riot. Unvaccinated illegals? Welcomed in the dark of night. On their watch, Philadelphia had record murders and Pa. rose to 3rd in fatal drug overdoses & 9th in population loss. The state road in which I reside? A tribute to potholes.

I have to compliment the editor of The Mercury for publishing two “letters to the editor” that were excellent from Stephen Anton and Greg Levengood. Both were well written and had more common sense than any editorials I have read by paid contributors gracing the pages of The Mercury in years.

I hear they’re doing a remake of the movie “Walking Tall” starring Kyle Rittenhouse! Can’t wait to see it! A true American hero!

Bill 176 would have passed the burden of real estate taxes on to the public. It added sales tax on daycare, funeral costs, among others. All of the new sales tax and higher income taxes would go directly to the state and we see how good they are at distributing money. Businesses that now share the burden would be relieved of their tax-deductible costs. Big business would never allow it to pass.

The opinions with ad hominem word garble are hilarious. And no, no other presidents took “Top Secret” national defense documents to their private residences after they were out of office. Nor did they continue to keep some of them months after receiving a subpoena and having their lawyer sign off saying all had been returned. It’s indefensible. So are the election lies which caused our Capitol to be attacked; all because Trump lies.

It is extremely scary and embarrassing to me to live in a community of so many naive, angry and ridiculous people. I hope that people considering moving into the area, do not read the Sound Off, as they would think they were moving to a swamp town in Louisiana. Geeze, people, get a life and find some respect for the government in general or move to Canada.

Joe Biden had a meeting with the Cabinet today. He also spoke to the bookcase and argued with the desk.
