After an apparently unusual Thanksgiving weekend entered the worst of the pandemic a year ago, cinemas and audiences are now preparing for a holiday closer to what we had been expecting at the official beginning of the past few years.

How does the new version and the retained version perform?

Encanto 3-day opening weekend range: 3.5-42 million US dollars 5-day opening weekend range: 500,000-60 million US dollars

Gucci House 3 days open weekend range: 14 – 19 million US dollars 5 days open weekend range: 22 – 30 million US dollars

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City 3-day open weekend range: 6-10 million US dollars 5-day open weekend range: 9.5-15 million US dollars

The box office predicts that the box office of the first ten movies (3 days) this weekend will increase by 35% to 45% from the top ten gross revenue of $80.4 million last weekend.

All forecasts may be revised before the preview on Thursday or the first confirmation of estimates from the studio or official sources on Friday.

The number of theaters is confirmed and updated by the studio. The above table does not necessarily represent the top ten, as some studios did not finalize weekend location counts and/or report box office returns prior to release.
