Comment-I don't know if you will fall in love with desk lamps, but I really (really) like this. The Eppiebasic double table lamp has a series of simple design features that make it very useful in all the right ways. Don't be afraid, dear reader...I will illuminate you. To review!

The Eppiebasic double table lamp is an LED table lamp.

The Eppiebasic double table lamp is a simple and purposeful design. It has a clip that can be firmly fixed on any table top with a thickness of no more than 2.5 inches.

Plug your power supply into the back of the armature. The power cord is 55 inches long, which is perfect for an adjustable standing desk like mine.

There are two control boards on the device opposite the power plug. The lower pad is a multi-function power/brightness/timer control, while the upper pad changes the color temperature.

The magic happens in the armature and lighting design. You have a 12.5-inch base arm, a 12.4-inch arm with a 6.3-inch built-in LED light, and a third 15-inch arm with a 10-inch built-in LED light. Each component has its own way of expression. I will try to explain to you, but the illustrations on the product page are better than I have ever done.

All this means that for all intents and purposes, you can rotate and twist the two light bars into infinite combinations of positions and angles to meet your needs. The total length of 40 inches is also perfect for illuminating your equipment. Here, the lights behind my monitor are all facing me.

Here, I rotate the main light bar to my work area facing down at an angle.

I can set them all to vertical...

Or set the top bar at a 90-degree angle to the base to make more room for a larger display. The combinations are endless; all the close-up shots in this review were done by me twisting and distorting the lights to get a good angle.

Once you place the light the way you want it, you can use the finer controls.

The multi-function power board uses quick taps to turn the lights on or off. You can also double-click the light to set it to turn off after 10 minutes, and then double-click again to set the timer to 30 minutes. Touch and hold the light, it will cycle the brightness up or down based on where you started (the light will remember the setting you started last time).

The top pad is easier to manage, and the color temperature can be adjusted from 2700K to 6000K (5 options in total). Here, I set the light to cool/bright white mode. Check the head of my stormtrooper for the best reference:

This is equivalent to daylight:

This will be a warm light.

I like the simplicity and practicality of the Eppiebasic double table lamp, but there are some quirks in the design.

On the bright side, I like the flexibility of the armature and the total length of the lamp. It is difficult not to find a useful location for these two lights, and the combination of brightness and light temperature control allows you to find a setting that is really suitable for long-term use.

Do you know what are the benefits of two light bar settings? When you need to provide additional lighting for video conferencing. Take a look at this. This is my usual setting. The main light bar points to the work area and the small light bar points to me.

This is when I did not turn on the lights during the web conference...

...I'm turning on the light here. This is a trivial matter, but it can illuminate me well for the camera without having to rearrange my lighting situation every time I answer the phone. Let's face it: I can use all the good lighting I can get for this cup.

I also like the designer to correctly position the power cord so that it does not interfere with the light's gymnastics when you rotate and position things. The extra length of the power cord is also great. I reposition my standing/sitting desk many times a day. I haven't caught the chord of anything yet.

The biggest design flaw for me is the multi-function power supply/timer/brightness control board. Expectations for a button are high. This is reminiscent of those multifunctional click/click-and-hold/double-tap combinations that make me crazy about wireless earbuds. It is manageable, but sometimes you need to fiddle with it to make it perform required operations other than turning the power on or off. That's very clean.

The other item is more of personal preference. I would love to see the ability to control each lamp separately (power, brightness and temperature). This will add a whole lot more usability to the regular use of video calls.

The Eppiebasic double desk lamp checks the availability of almost all the buttons that I am satisfied with. It can be seamlessly integrated into my desktop without taking up valuable table space. The length of the armature and all these joints allow me to get the lighting I want where I need it, without competing with all my equipment. Brightness and temperature control make it easy for me to find the settings that suit me. That multi-function button is a bit unstable, but it is very easy to manage...especially at this price point. This is a goalkeeper.
