Community News in Brooklyn Green Point and Williamsburg

Co-working spaces have sprung up throughout the city, and now there are many beautiful places and valuable facilities in Green Point and Williamsburg.

Can't hear your boss in the screeching screams of newborn babies? Can't do anything about the roommate's lunch party? Or maybe you are just tired of sitting in your apartment.

For whatever reason, Greenpoint and Williamsburg provide a variety of co-working spaces that call your name. This is a summary of the best co-working spaces in North Brooklyn.

Labyrinthe (262 Metropolitan Ave.) is a co-working space in Williamsburg, which advertises itself as "a perfect combination of nearby coffee shops and traditional co-working spaces." It is one of the simplest and most affordable co-working options.

The 2,000 square foot space has 30 ergonomic workstations and dedicated outlets in an open layout. There is no private office here, but there are phone booths and Zoom Room to protect privacy.

Pricing starts at $8 per hour and works without commitment. You can also purchase an 8-hour pass for $40. This pass expires in 7 days, but you can choose to increase the number of hours as needed.

Standard membership costs US$159 per month, including 50 hours and 1 hour private room. Premium membership is USD 249 per month, including 100 hours and 2 private room hours. You can also book the Zoom Room separately. This option costs $10 every 30 minutes.

Part of Labyrinthe's selling point is the simplicity of setup. You can start working in a few simple steps. First, download and register in the Labyrinthe app. When you arrive, use the app to scan and unlock the desk. After finishing the work, please lock the chair to complete the session.

Like most other co-working spaces, Labyrinthe provides water, tea, coffee and espresso, and includes high-speed WiFi in its pricing. Opening hours are 8 am to 8 pm

WeWork (134 North 4th Street) is a large company in the coworking world. It is basically the opposite of Labyrinthe, but it may be more convenient for some people. Williamsburg is located in the heart of North Williamsburg, close to Whole Foods, Sweetgreen, Starbucks and other chains that may be useful to workers.

WeWork is one of the more costly co-working options in the area. A one-person private office starts at $1,040 per month, while a 4-person office starts at $2,875 per month. Dedicated desks start at $640 per month. These exclusive memberships include printer usage, meeting room usage rights, business address, 24/7 access to the building, and a long list of WeWork amenities.

The day pass includes a seat in a shared office space and amenities for $29 per day. WeWork offers a membership called WeWork All Access, which allows you to reserve a temporary desk anywhere in the world. The special offer for new members is US$199 per month for three months. You can also book meeting rooms by the hour. Prices start at $10 per person per hour.

The WeWork Williamsburg location offers a range of amenities, including enhanced cleaning services, non-contact dispensers, enhanced HVAC systems, storage rooms, bicycle storage, mother rooms, wellness rooms, outdoor spaces, activity spaces, recreational games, and kitchenettes . In addition, pets are welcome.
