The Rock for President? Well, apparently not…

WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson has confirmed that he isn’t going to be running for President in 2024.

The former WWE Champion had previously flirted with the idea of running for office during the next election, but he’s now said that that’s off the table.

For several years, people within America have called for The Rock to run for President, something that he’s suggested wasn’t off the table during interviews and media appearances.

However, during a recent interview with CBS, The Rock clarified that he isn’t going to be running for President in 2024, via WrestleTalk.

It’s off the table, yes. It is off the table. I will say this, because it requires the B-side to this. I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. That’s the most important thing, being a daddy. Number one.

The Rock said that he wouldn’t be present for the most important stage of his children’s lives if he ran for President, so has taken the idea off the table now.

Especially during this time, this critical time in my daughter’s lives because I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years. My number one priority is my daughter’s. The number one thing I want to be is daddy.

The Rock’s first daughter, Simeone, is actually working for WWE now and made her debut for the company earlier on this year.

While The Rock has confirmed that he’s not going to be running for President, he hasn’t taken a WWE return off the table just yet.

Reports from the Wrestling Observer claim that The Rock is in line to return to WWE next year for his first match since 2016, this time against Roman Reigns.

The match has been in the works for several years now, but The Rock’s busy movie schedule opening up has finally allowed for him to return to wrestling to face his cousin at WWE WrestleMania.

At the time of writing, there’s no word on when WWE is going to have The Rock back to announce the match, which is slated to take place in April 2023, but it seems unlikely to be this year at any point.
